Squash and Garbanzo Stew

1 cupButternut Squash

1 cupCanned Chicken Broth

1/2 cupRaisins, seedless

1 tspGround Turmeric

1 tspCinnamon

1/2 tspGround Ginger

15 ozChickpeas, canned

2 cupWhite Rice, Long-grain
Directions
1. Cook onions and garlic in oil in a 3 quart saucepan, stirring frequently until tender, about 7 minutes.2. Add remaining ingredients except garbanzo beans and rice. Heat to boiling.
3. Reduce heat. Cover and cook until squash is tender, about 8 minutes.
4. Stir in garbanzo beans. Serve over rice.
